This is the original shot. It is a group of pilings near a canal bridge. It was a difficult shot to take because of the limitations presented, including the sun.
The sun's effect on the shot is one of the reasons why I believe it looks better as a black and white. What do you think?

Yes! The contrast and blown highlights make the black and white image even more striking. I love the repetition of the pilings, and the texture of the ropes.
I used to chronically underexpose shots, and would get really frustrated with harsh light, until I learned how much fun overexposing stuff can be!
