Bald Eagle on Perch

Yesterday I spent doing all sorts of stuff, but I made sure to bring my camera along in case I ran into something I just had to photograph. And, sure enough, I came across this bald eagle sitting on tree. It was amazing and HUGE. I have never seen a bird so big before. I was able to get very close. In fact, I was standing at the base of the tree and while the eagle glanced down at me several times - he seemed to not be bothered by my presence. Unfortunately, I was bothered that I didn't bring a strong enough lens to get a good, close shot of the guy. So I took the shots I could, and this is what I managed - once I did some major cropping. Not the best, but it is something.

Thought I would have a go at photographing the diamond engagement ring Dougie gave me along with a string of pearls. I didn't like how the color of the pearls was competing with the ring, so I made it black and white, adding a diffused effect for a little glamor.
