I absolutely adore old barns.  I'm not sure what it is that I find so appealing about them, but I once wanted to do a coffee table book on old barns.  That was until I realized just how many coffee table books there are out there on old barns.

Took this photograph and decided to see what sort of filter effects I could do with it. I was going for a look that I would see in photographs from the 1950s and 1960s - classic yet softly romantic. Not quite sure if I captured it, though.

I saw this barn door propped open with a water pail, and I couldn't resist capturing the image with my camera.

Horse County

Drove out to the northeast section of the county and found plenty of horse ranches, with Clydesdales being quite popular. While it was difficult to get up close and personal with the beasties, I did manage to get this shot. I thought the red barn and green grass played off the dark hair and white legs.

Reinventing the Wheel

I took this shot yesterday, and so I thought I would experiment with hues, saturation, and lighting. It didn't turn out as I had intended, but practice makes perfect and I believe this is a good start.
