No Spring Melt Off (Yet) | Bellingham Photographer

Went for a drive along the Nooksack River the other day and was amazed by two things:  the low water levels (even though we've had record snowfall in the mountains) and just how blue the water looked.  The fact that the water level is still so low is easily attributed to the lack of spring melt-off, but the temperatures are starting to get warmer.  I have no doubt that this time next month, what you see in the foreground of this image will be covered in freezing water.

Grass | Bellingham Photographer

I just love this image.  It is of tall grass that had recently been manicured.  I love the fact that while it is obvious the intention is for the grass to grow straight and tall, there are rebellious strands which curl and twist.  I also love the texture in this shot.  It makes me want to just reach out and touch it.
