A Heron Day | Bellingham Photographer
I don't know why, but lately I've been photographing a lot of heron. It seems that wherever I go, there seems to be a little cluster of them - waiting for me to photograph them. They are still extremely cautious and don't hesitate to fly away when I get too close, but some let me get close enough to snap a solid photograph.

Stark Cluster | Bellingham Photographer
Yesterday I was driving around the bay and I saw this cluster of trees by the water. Their pale white bodies looked so stark against the blue sky and green under brush that I had to photograph them. But the true beauty, at least for me, came out when I made the image black and white.
