Hostas - Bleach Bypassing

I'm having a little too much fun with bleach bypassing as a form of processing the photographs I've been taking lately. The top image is the regularly processed image, while the image below I used the bleach bypassing technique on. I think it looks a lot better. More dramatic. What do you think?

Wharf Light

I did some more tweaking of the photographs I took last week on Fidalgo Island and Whidbey Island. Above is the original photograph taken by the wharf in Coupeville. The one below is a bleach process I used on the shot. While the one above turned out good, especially with the striking blues, I really like the effect on the bleach processed shot. It feels more weathered and classic.

Canal Pilings

This is the original shot. It is a group of pilings near a canal bridge. It was a difficult shot to take because of the limitations presented, including the sun.

The sun's effect on the shot is one of the reasons why I believe it looks better as a black and white. What do you think?

By the Barn

Lavender by the Barn Door

Took this photograph and decided to see what sort of filter effects I could do with it. I was going for a look that I would see in photographs from the 1950s and 1960s - classic yet softly romantic. Not quite sure if I captured it, though.

Aermotor

Cabin Door

This is the door to a cabin that was built in the 1850s and is on display in an outdoor museum. The entire cabin is the display and it amazed me how families, typically large families, were able to survive in such cramped quarters.

Piglets

These piglets were a kick. They would run around, constantly chasing each other. When one would catch the other, they would roll around in the hay, stuggle to get back up, and then start the chase again.
