The Moon

I have tried more times than I can count to photograph the moon.  There has only been one occasion where I was happy with the results.  However, this makes the second occasion.  It was a bright, sunny day and it was starting to turn to dusk.  The detail I managed to capture with my 300 mm made me very happy.

Chasing the Moon

Last night was the biggest moon I've ever seen. Our family calls these types of full moons "Moonstrucks" because people are struck by the magic of the moon. It was so close, I felt certain I could touch it. So, last night I went on the chase - trying to capture the moon as the sun was setting. Unfortunately, this image doesn't capture the awesome size the moon appeared to be, but it still - in my humble opinion - turned out to be a great shot.
